ATM Processing

ATM processing is the service that runs the transactions on an ATM — monitoring each withdrawal, settling the cash back to your account, and handling any disputes. You own the machine, and FPE keeps it running.

What's included

  • Transaction processing. Every withdrawal is monitored and routed through the card networks in seconds.

  • ATM settlement. The cash customers withdraw comes back to your account on a regular schedule, so your machine stays funded.

  • Dispute handling. If a customer contests a transaction, FPE takes care of it.

  • Reporting. You can see what your machine did — transactions, activity, your revenue — without decoding a spreadsheet.

Who it's for

ATM processing is for business owners who want to own their ATM. Restaurants, convenience stores, liquor stores, smoke shops, and markets are the most common — anywhere cash customers walk in every day.

How it works

  1. 1

You own the machine. New or refurbished from FPE, or one you already have.

  2. 2

We connect it. Your ATM gets configured to FPE's processing so it can approve transactions.

  3. 3

It runs. Customers withdraw cash, transactions get approved, funds settle back to you.

  4. 4

You get paid. Your surcharge earnings are deposited monthly. You keep the machine stocked and in good shape; we handle the rest.

ATM processing FAQs

How do I get paid by my ATM?

Whether FPE places your ATM or processes it, all earnings are deposited on the 4th business day of the following month — by direct deposit or check, whichever you choose.

When does the cash I load into my ATM come back to me?

If you load your own cash, the money customers withdraw is deposited back into your account the next business day. Your surcharge earnings are separate — those are paid monthly.

Who loads the cash in the ATM?

It depends on your agreement. Under a placement agreement, FPE keeps the ATM stocked. Under a processing agreement, the cash is your responsibility — you can load it yourself, or FPE can provide a loader who takes a share of the surcharge for the service.

Who sets the ATM surcharge?

It depends on who owns the machine. Under a placement agreement, FPE sets the surcharge to cover maintenance costs. Under a processing agreement, you set it — and FPE will recommend an amount based on your area to keep customers coming back to the machine.
